It's soft cover & easy to carry around but yet contains everything all the other huge hardcover books contain. This is one of the best books I ever came across during law school. It takes some very difficult material and makes it much easier to understand.
While this is the federal rules, I strongly suggest bypassing this purchase and buying the EZ Rules for Evidence instead. EZ Rules does not have all the rules, but it clearly should suffice in any law school Evidence course. I found the FRE to be overly complicated, and the EZ Rules Text breaks it down just right. SKIP FRE and purchase EZ Rules Instead...
A good book for reviewing Federal Rules of Evidence with useful and relevant commentary.
This book is exactly what it needs to be. It contains the recent rules and another annotated rules with official commentary and some other helpful sections. Maybe a little overpriced.
Well written for understanding. Lots of case cites included to illustrate rules. Includes good examples of common objections and responses.
This book is invaluable for any trial skills class. What is most helpful is the long list of possible objections and proposed responses to them. It helped me tremendously in my trials skills class.
The main thing I like about this Evidence book is that it breaks evidence down into sections in different ways. It has a shorter outline, it has a more in depth outline, and it has a nice table of contents and index system.
Very good book to keep on the shelf or in your bag for quick reference.
